No I think it's something like 2003-2012 or 2002-2011. They talked about HL2 just making the nominees because it released so long ago.

Of those nominees I would certainly pick Half-Life 2. However, I would have liked to see Metal Gear Solid 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and Resident Evil 4 make the list too.

Man so many good games on that list, I would have picked Wind Waker, SoTC and Portal :p
