The AI in Half-Life 2 is average at worst. To be honest, I can only think of a few games in the genre with clearly better AI. The rest are about the same level.

I can say the first HL have the worst AI, seriously those guards that you find along the way are the worst, the only good thing they do is open doors xD

I disagree, the guards could also shoot head crabs and zombies. The scientists though... all PhDs and all they could do was open doors!

I honestly never seen them killing other enemies, they just shoot like crazy lol. I just kill them unless I need them to open doors....after the door is open I killed the guard :p. But yeah the doctors are the worst xD
