People need to be realistic about the magnitude of demand that the Wii enjoyed; it was an anomaly. WiiU (which is said to be shipping in greater numbers than the Wii) shouldn't be relegated to "low demand" yet just because a bunch of eBay/Amazon scalpers aren't profiting from it.

Going by that rationale, however: The Wii sold about 3m by the end of 2006 (2,954,781 by Dec 30, according to Vgchartz). Let's see what WiiU has sold by the end of 2012 before we declare that Nintendo may be in trouble.
