oh no, not linux again. really, i use linux at work and at home, definitely my preferred os, but please, don't make predictions to linux - this has been done way to often and sadly was always wrong.

Valve is making steam works with Linux.

if i understood correctly, steam is only a delivery platform - it does not magically make windows games work under linux. it also does not solve driver issues people have with their nvidia- and amd-gpus. correct me, if i'm wrong.

Steam supporting linux will surely make developers want to release linux-OpenGl versions of their games. Nvidia already announced they are making new drivers for linux. One of them was released already:
