I only watched one movie on it so far and I'm at work right now but Netflix on thw Wii U may just take the cake. I'll test every asppect of it when I get home sso I can stand behind my assumption that it's the best Netflix player. In the meantime, I'll say PS3 is the best.
I have Netflix on my PS3, Wii, PC (connected to the same TV), Smart HDTV, Cell Phone, Wii U, two Xbox 360s, two 3DSs, and my Vita. The portables lose out because they need Wi Fi. If I have Wi Fi, I'm near one of the better options. The Wii loses because it's not in HD. The TV loses because it's slow as fuck to type or select movies. I rarely used the PC. In the end, it comes down to the 360 and PS3 for king of the mountain.
The 360 automatically plays whatever you choose. That's fine but sometimes my GF will have watched an episode and I haven't. You can't choose an episode until the show is already playing. I hate that. At one time, the 360 was waaaaay slower than the PS3 but that's no longer the case. You also used to have the option to watch movies in "party mode" but that's gone, now. Kinect is awesome w/ 360 because you can just say "next episode" or "rewind" and you can also fast forward, etc. Just by waving your hand. Also, you can set it so that your friends see exactly what you are watching (if you want). Aside from that, the 360 experience is virtually the same as the PSE's.
I choose the PS3 because it's free (not that it matters to me since I've been happily ppaying for XBL Gold since 2007), it goes straight to the episode menu, and I can choose to have the console automatically turn off in 90 mins, one hour, etc. On 360, it used to be six hours or twelve hours as our only choice. They changed it so that two hours is an option but force of habit makes me go with the PS3.
Any other thing people choose to make 360 look bad is pretty negligable. Both run lightning fast (even my living room 360 connected with Wi Fi), both use auto play, both have subtitles, recommendattions, etc. Cost and the choice of whether you want a TV episode to start automatically or if you want to go to an episode list, first. That's it.
And Netflix says you can only use one account with five devices. That's bullshit!
