People like Chrome for it's simplicity, or at least I do. All I need is the URL bar and the tabs, and maybe the bookmarks bar. Everything else seems unnecesary. Whenever, I go on Firefox or Internet, all that extra content at the top makes it visually unappealing (though I haven't used Firefox in a while. Has that changed?). I'm not sure how Google's UI looks like shit when it only accounts for like 5% of screen space. The rest goes to the webpage.
