That "based on A10 system and base platform" gives me chills.

An A10 system is weak... the latest A10 in the market is a little more powerful than Wii U but even so it's week for 1080p@60 in 3D.

What I'm guessing is the A10 for PS4 will be customized to work with a better integrated GPU... instead a A10 with HD 7660D @ 384SPs I guess the PS3 will use a A10 with 7870M @ 512SPs.

Or to match my expectations: HD 7870 desktop edtion with 1280SPs (overpower).

The CPU is a Quad-core @ 3.xGhz

I ran these specs by a friend who's very knowledgeable of computer tech, and he said that on it's face, with these specs, it'd only be about twice as powerful as current gen systems. Obviously that could change in the final specs, but that's probably not a good place to start from.

Still, it's not like Sony could afford to release an expensive powerhouse, especially at a loss to make it affordable for consumers. They are in a bad place right now, they can't afford those kinds of risks. I see this as a smart move on their part.
