You sound so angry all the time.

Indeed. I think he had a bad experience with Sony. Everything he says about Sony/Playstation is negative. Perhaps he used to own a PsOne, but it transformed into a murderous robot assassin and killed his parents?

Seems to be the only logical explanation to me.

Not everything. I have mentioned a few times about how good PS3 exclusives are. In all honesty without Sony this gen gaming would have become something different entirely and not in a good way. The PS3 original exclusives keep the gaming hardcore happy and keep gaming as it should be like it always was instead of a watered down mess that we would have without them. Well, it's still watered down mess on the whole thanks to the big 3rd party publishers and the business model gaming has turned to in terms of developers/publisher relationship - but in terms of quality old school feel games like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavy Rain, MGS4 and God Of War are very unique experiences, not in the sense that they haven't been done before but they aren't being done this gen anywhere else. On the Xbox 360 side I would say Fable series has that "new" but familiar feel too as well as the JRPG exclusives on the console somewhat, you know that quality where you acutally want to like the game. I find that feeling in nearly all JRPGs too so I'm a bit biased on that front to be honest.

My criticism of Sony is usually because of their PR talk, their arrogance, the annoying fans on the internet who are generally more intelligent than Xbox 360 Halo goons but use that intelligence to talk from some kind of elitist pedestal. I also can't stand the fanfare and hype machine from PS3 fans. I do take a slight pleasure when games like PSABR don't live up to expectations, but that's more of a reaction to crazy talk I read pre-release. It's nothing personal, just a guilty pleasure, if we're honest we all like to see someone arrogant and biased fail. In the same vein I can't stand Halo obsessed fans who generally have about 1 brain cell between each 2 fans, not all of them of course but a noticeable number.

I have noticed a marked improvement in the fanboyish behaviour of PS3 fans over the past 2-3 years on VGChartz, it's got a way to go but it's getting there. Even you have changed and grown up over the past couple of years since you signed up. That might sound awfully patronizing but ask yourself the question, has your debating improved over the past 2 years vastly? It's good to see. We all have our favourites, we all have things we hate in life. I just so happen to hate things that Sony does badly AND the fans defend.

Are the best looking exclusives on the PS3? Yes, Is the PS3 more reliable than the Xbox 360? Yes.

However when a question like, "are virtually all launch console PS3s dying of YLOD?" appears for example I would answer "yes". Many PS3 fans would knee jerk react with a "no" and THEN formulate some kind of argument to support that "no". It's the same with PSABR, I see people formulating arguments to support their closed answer, not the other way round.

Even here, now, the engine sounds of GT5. I'm taking exception the language used in the interview, it's typical "SONY!!!!". It's annoying, insulting to ones intelligence and simply not true. Sony fans love this stuff though, I personally will not relish in such drivel. It is drivel and you know that Jay.

Finally I do give Microsoft stick too when the time comes but in all honesty Microsoft topics don't come up that often except the usual "We shouldn't pay for Live!" ones, those topics have been old for years and they are self serving negative topics. Live is a profitable business venture so why would they not charge if people will pay? Then there's the criticism of Kinect, completely agree it's beyond awful and Move is a far superior accessory but the topics that used to pop up about it were always talking from a self serving point of view.

By being overly positive, complementing needlessly, making wild sales expectation predictions, celebrating, advertising and basically unadulterated touting. It draws your attention and something you would normally have kept to yourself, is then posted. I don't feel that need in Microsoft threads because those types of threads hardly ever appear.

Forgive the wall of text. :)
