I think it will have long legs. Its not a must have game like COD or AC3, so people aren't queing out day one to purchase it. Most people have spent big money this past 2 months on games and are probably busy playing other things right now, or just unwilling to fork out another $50. I can speak on behalf of my self when I say I had a blast playing the beta but don't feel the need to run out and get it straight away, I'll by christmas though. Because of its offline multiplayer nature, hopefully it will grow in popularity through word of mouth and people playing it at their friends house.
