Ok I think the problem is the adapter, I took it out, swirled it around, slam dunked it into a bin and got a new one, now I've connected it, it's fine. I thought it was the video card failing or something, but I found it weird that my card would be failing just because I've decided to dust my room and move it like 5cm.
