People argument for android phones being better than iOS phones is usually hardware related such as ram and processor. What people don't seem to realize the android os takes up A LOT more resource than iOS.And the reason why this is , because android os has to have more resource in order to use different architectures built by different manufactures such as samsung ,sony and other hardware companies. Where iOS devices is controlled by apple so they can modify there operating system around it easily and therefore less resources used up. And second argument is android is open source, but I would think most people would rather have someone reviewing apps so you won't waste our money completely on horrible apps (not saying apple doesn't have horrible apps but less chance of getting completely ripped off) and also gives developers a better chance being successful. So that way the app store won't be filled with so many horrible app that the great apps won't have any chance to be noticed. Also, I am a mobile developer myself.
