If the demo doesn't match the quality of the game what is the point in having the demo in the first place? After all, it is a marketing tool designed to convince people to buy the game. Realistically it isn't that much different from a movie trailer and, while there have been several movies I can remember with bad trailers that I really enjoyed, most movie trailers are far better than the actual movie is.

It is fair to argue that someone shouldn't judge a game based on a leaked copy of a beta version of the game, but something that was released by the company to encourage sales is fair game ...
