Besides the augmented reality bit of the story, all of this reminds me so much of Onlive... Not sure why... with steam you would actually download the games and play them, so it would indeed be a different system altogether... I think Sony right now would be the most likely to fall behind at this point if Valve entered the market, but I'm not sure if that would be a good thing :/
