OK. But there is a difference between willing to pay for something and eager to pay for something. Wouldn't everyone here rather LIVE be free? I understand it might not be as good if it was free, but wouldn't everyone prefer a free service? I'm not saying people shouldn't be proud of using Xbox LIVE; I'm saying I'm surprised people are so proud of paying for it.

It all goes back to people being perfectly ok with paying for a service if it meets a quality that warrants the price. People can agree that it's worth it or disagree. I wouldn't want a lesser quality service for free. I pay for Live simply because it is faster and more realiable and has more features than PSN. Taking those out for lesser quality to make it free like PSN, well then you're just left with two slower, disappointing services.

OK, fair enough. I've been a little too hard on Xbox LIVE subscribers in this thread. It's not fair of me to project my own feelings about the service onto others.
