People say that to be politically correct. Doesn't mean they think what they say outloud. People in other countries hate America. This stems from the actions of the government, not the average american citizen.

People generalize, its human nature to make things simple. This has been done for hundreds of years. People like to make things simple when dealing with a specific group. To disagree with me is to disagree with the human condition.

The people who represent America are elected officials. They are chosen by the group to represent the group. Futhermore, these representatives actually do represent the group to some degree.

None of that applies to the individuals that people use to generalize groups on forums. Firstly, the groups on here do not agree on chosen individuals to represent them. Secondly, these individuals, more times than not, actually do not accurately represent the groups that they belong to.

There needs to be a reason why an individual represents a group other than the fact that they're loud. You need some evidence that suggests that their opinions represents the general opinions of the group. If not, then you might as well pick any random person and see "he represents group X."

Just because something is human nature doesn't mean it makes sense. It's human nature to be aggressive and to exercise our natural urgers without suppression. Obviously, we overcame our primative instincts for a more logical route.
