Mobile and landline phones have alternatives. You can live without them. People back then would have been in uproar that you have to pay for the phone and line rental/credit too but now you consider them a thing you cannot live without. It is the same basic principal. Just because you pay for the hardware doen't mean it will stop costing you!! |
I don't see as how not having a phone is an alternative to having a phone, but I guess we both interpret the word "alternative" in a different way. Alternative is defined as "One or two of more possibilities". This can be interpreted differently depending on the person so neither one of us is wrong here.
