Right. Arguably Wahabi Islam is just as bad as the tribal religions Mohammed was trying to replace, barring the idol-worship.
Although much the same thing happened with Christianity throughout the course of the religion's life, where many Christian institutions became similar to the Pharasees that Jesus preached against.
