Well the discussion should be about how Sony screwed up with the price then. Consoles don't come fully formed into this world from the God of Videogames to be revered. The high-end performance it brings is very much a minus point: it wasn't necessary to sell the console, and it raised the price tag.

OK, and nintendo screwed up with their price too, and then dropped the price, and then everything was fine.Same thing even with the tech. I remember when it was announced, and I was like "minimum 250$", and everyone tried to argue that the screens weren't expensive. Turns out, I was right.

Those screens are VERY expensive, and iirc, 3ds has lost them a bunch of money through hardware. Lowering the price didn't cut profits, it increased costs into the black. People also say that the 3d wasn't really necessary.

Was there a rebuttal in there somewhere?

Nintendo screwed up as well. In fact more so because NO ONE is buying for the 3D, vs almost no one for the PSV media features.
