Sooo the PS360 selling so well is because....? 3rd party support I guess. And why did they receive good 3rd party support and not Wii? Could it... could it be because they were moar powerful?? If the Wii were just as powerful as PS360 I know you could take away a few millions off the PS360 sales numbers... But I agree that raw power has never won a gen. Ever.

The PS3 and 360 could only achieve 3rd party support because they were BOTH powerful and developers could release their games to a mega installbase consisting of two consoles, with very little effort needed for ports. However, if only one console were powerful, which is what you're suggesting with the Nextbox, then that console would have failed individually. The Nextbox won't dominate 3rd party support if it's extremely more powerful than the other two consoles, or at least that's what history has shown us.

Also, you're assuming that most developers would even be able to make games too powerful for the PS4. Most developers these days can't even maximize the PS3 and 360. If the PS4 is considerably more powerful than the PS3 (which it most likely will be), then I don't see most developers making games too powerful for the PS4 to handle. They especially wouldn't risk making such powerful games if the Nextbox is the only console to handle them.

Regarding your first post; I'm actually agreeing that x3ox will be a relative failure if it's too powerful; it'll only receive ports from WiiStation that don't use the whole power of the console, meaning that MS will be throwing away money on specs that won't get utilized. And that's why I think that all 3 consoles will be similar in power and receive all 3rd party multiplats, and this could be why Wii U might win next gen imo.

I don't think I ever stated that devs will make games too powerful for PS4 to handle. If so, please link it cuz that has to be a mistake =p I think that Wii U and PS4 will be similar in power (but with PS4 being the strongest out of the 2). Devs will try to keep costs down as much as possible, even furthering my point of PS4 and Wii U being similar in power...
