40 million?  That's nearly the size of the 360 installed base.  Are you sure about that?  It would mean that an overwhelming majority of 360s out there are linked to a gold account.  I have trouble believing that.  Isn't gold actually unavaliable in some regions?


Yes I'm positive.  They have 35-40 million a year.  

There are 35-40 Live accounts. MS have not given out their gold numbers except for three years ago when they said 10-20million.

Since then, they've bragged about yearly 10% increases, so the number cannot be higher than 25m or so.
