#42 - Summoner 2 (PS2
As guessed by Lestatdark. An absolute hidden gem for me, Summoner 2 is an American RPG which plays a little like a western hack-n-slash but feels quite a lot like a JRPG. There's an eclectic and surprisingly well developed cast of characters. There are a variety of beautiful locations, fantastical spells and interesting monsters. There's a story that's not mind-blowing but is interesting enough to keep you going, and the game doesn't overstay its welcome - 18-20 hours on the first playthrough which was just right.
