but condoms don't always work.

my older sister (she's 21 and still a virgin), her boyfriend was conceived when his mom was using birth control and his father wearing a condom, so anything is possible =]

You're right, anything is possible, but the scenario you described is about as likely as me getting run over by a truck tomorrow. Yeah, it's possible I'll get run over by a truck tomorrow, but that's not going to stop me from getting in my car and going to the grocery store.

And if someone(his parents) tell a lie enough times they begin to believe it.

Yeah, I didn't want to make a possibly offensive assumption, but that's also possible.  ;)

Just to make sure, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a virgin at whatever age.  I was a virgin until the day after my 21st birthday (and no, booze was not involved).  I recall another thread about virginity on these forums where people were making fun of someone for still being a virgin, and I said that those people were the ones who had a problem, not the virgin they were making fun of.

I think that no matter what you believe about sex, you should challenge those beliefs often (that goes for other topics as well).  There's nothing wrong with waiting to have sex, but if you challenge your beliefs, you may find that you're not waiting for a good reason -- just as someone else may find that they're having sex for the wrong reasons.  All I'm saying is, think about it.  Step outside the box that your parents, teachers, friends, and culture in general have built around you, wipe your slate clean, and just think about it from scratch.

Is that enough mixed metaphors?  ;)
