not calling you out as the problem, but vita gets a lot of critisim for that.  if a console franchise is an exact replica (PSASBR) then it is just a port and why would anyone want that on a handheld.   if a console franchise tailors the experience to the handheld (Uncharted:GA, ACIII:L) than it is just a watered down experience not worthy of its console cousin.

There's a middle ground between the two. 3D Land, for example, is both tailored to the handhelds and it is more than a watered-down experience. It is, after all, made by one of Nintendo's A-teams, EAD Tokyo. Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing, etc. are also all made by the better teams at Nintendo, usually by the same folks who make the console games (but who have experience making handheld titles).

Contrast that with the Vita games. Uncharted was not made by the guys who made the console versions. Liberation was not made by the main Assassin's Creed team. Declassified, same deal.

Vita's predicament is similar to the third-party situation on the Wii. The name is slapped on, but the talent level that built the name is largely absent.

i haven't personally played uncharted or liberation yet but will soon (especiallly uncharted with psn+) but i've only hear postitive feedback from those that actually have played it.  i don't like CoD so I won't comment on that one.

but the one i have played is LBP.  and you know what, yeah it wasn't MM that built it but honest to god... tarsier studios did a better job with LBP vita than MM did with LBP2.   it's just a better game overall.  if you only qualification is that the same franchise is made by the same team... well i'll revert back to my original statement.   ..vita's great games are, imo, unfairly dismissed because atm it is cool to hate on vita
