Not what he was entirely saying,  He says that it targets the silly crowd of fighting but is a much more technical fighter but in both categories there is better fighters.  Not his exact words but it was something like that.  he says it at the end of the video.

What if you want both? Super Smash is both...I don't see the problem there


The problem with it is that there is better fighting games in both categories which would leave this game as an average game.  Most people aren't looking for both, they want one or the other.  That is why they said this game isn't sure what it's identity is.

SSB is one of those fighting games that is one of the best but it focuses on fun rather than being to technical. The random items coming down that can change the game at any second is a part of the fun factor.  It is easy to use any character in SSB as well
