If Sony doesn't devise a way for me to play the 20 - 30 PSN games I own/have acquired, I swear I'll never buy another Playstation system nor will I ever set foot or darken the doors of Sony's online store(s). I don't care if it's built into the PS4 or if it's GAIKAI......But Sony better have the shit I bought and trusted them with, and they better have it ready whenever I get good and ready to play it....yes, I said better. |
No offence but - you bought/owned/acquired those PSN games for the system you bought them on. You weren't misled into buying them on the principle that they'd be compatible for a system which at the time may have just been a twinkle in a Sony engineer's eye.
There's no obligation for Sony to make these games available on the next home console, much like there's no obligation for them to make PSP downloads compatible with PS3.
There's an expectation that it should be and many people like yourself feel entitled to it because it's digital content over physical. There may be a point there, but much as an N64 cartridge wouldn't run on a Gamecube, a PS3 digital download may not be compatible with the PS4 without some serious re-jigging. Maybe everything will be compatible, who knows.
Personally, I'd rather have every programmer's effort going into making new content over making everything work, which is why I put up with certain PSP downloads not being compatible with Vita.
