I think this is a lose lose situation. If they put backwards compatibility in people will complain sony didnt learn from there mistakes because of the high price point.
Then if they don't put it in then you have people complaining because it doesn't have it. I would recommend people to keep the PS3 they own just in case. Also adding my 2 cents but I think it would be smart of them if they added a backwards compatibly peripheral
