I don't get Satanism, as an entity with that name. It is defined in context of the Bible, and to me, seems to be someone who is intentionally rebelling against the Bible and Judeo-Christian ethics. Satan in this context is a created being, while powerful, is less powerful than God. One can take a Sophist and pragmatic, "Well it gets me what I want". Name it something else, and try to distance it from the Christian religion and the Bible. As far as historical Jesus goes, that is another issue, and I rather go with what scholars say than the what the original poster has to say. And, this leads up to another point: I am increasingly getting bored with the opinions of people I don't know on the internet. Everyone seems to have opinions, and will blab on and on about what they want and their views. It is like one big giant wishing well of conflicting interests.
Anyhow, people can believe what they want. Philosophically, I can say I find more answers if I don't center my life around what I want, but seek to transcend. This means being humble and willing to be corrected. Well I should drop off soon and get to sleep. I do have church in the morning.
