I get a bit hopeful with the 3DS dominating the Japanese market that it will create an envyronment that is fertile to these games to thrive again. Western developers focus more on home consoles and japanese ones on handhelds.
Hopefully the 3DS becomes the PS2 of portables and we can see these great series come back.

Looking at the current market and development costs, im afraid that is very unlikely. I am trying to have realistic expectations.
