Oh bloody hell, the inane milking topic has started up again. I wish people would shut up about that and realize that ALL big-time developers are run by business-people who will absolutely return to a franchise as long as demand exists. Yes, that means Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, among many, many others. If anyone is so personally invested in their console and corporation of choice that this hurts their feelings then I'm sorry--except not really. Whomever brought this up first should probably be moderated to the head with a blunt object.
I, for one, am pretty excited about what new IPs we'll see with the next generation, especially if there are any that were deferred because they couldn't be done properly in this generation. Kind of like how superhero movies used to suck before technology made them look believable.
I also think Microsoft could score big by creating a few new IPs in non-shooter genres. They did well with Forza, for example, so why not create their own fighting game or platformer? Or will all their new IP be Kinect-based?
