except the PSP was trying to run PS2 games on hardware that couldn't run PS2 games.. in fact it was receiving hybrid Mobile/PS2 port like games.. that didn't have much of the PS2 games features.. Vita is doing the opposite.. vita is basically trying to be a PS3 in your pocket.. which is different than a PSP, which was tryin to offer console like graphics on pocket and that's all.. Vita has PSN behind it.. and hardware somewhere between Wii and PS3.. and is capable of running games almost on par with ps3.. like need for speed most wanted.. open world.. visuals almost on par with ps3 version.. but less traffic/online players(although still the same core game).. |
This entire comment makes no sense.
PSP and Vita has almost the exact same strategy.
PSP mimics the PS2
Vita mimics the PS3
How about going back and looking at software sold on the PSP. For the first few years the thing sold really well and then people didnt care any more and it dropped. Pirating was also an issue.
The Vita hasn't even had a good start because people already know what to expect from Sony in the hand held market. People has lost faith in Sony and as you all will probably notice, console like games on the go doesn't work well. Why? Because you can get a better version on a home console that people already own.
