Also MS can afford to eat big losses or risk mass hardware failures to gain time against the competition, since they care about supporting the Windows ecosystem rather than Xboxes being profitable in themselves. I don't trust this guy's knowledge 100% but I do trust that he has actual sources and he's telling the truth as to the information he gets from them. 1. You need dev kits to make next-gen games. Would be pretty stupid to launch a console with no games.
2. No, they can't. Well...technically they can but its not something they would do on purpose. It would hurt the Xbox brand and cost them loads of money.
