1. No PS3 backwards compatability, not even for a premium/deluxe model. Why? Well Sony shouldn't confuse consumers and a $599 PS4 price will put off many consumers.
2. Multi-tasking. I want to use the Internet Browser while playing Dark Souls. I'd also love to listen to music while playing a game. This should be a system-wide feature.
3. High amount of RAM. This will allow for the multi-tasking and it will greatly help with MMO porting and free to play games.
4. Launch games should include at least 1 AAA first party game like Uncharted. A new IP would be nice as well.
5. 3rd party exclusives. Sony can't get by on its 1st party games alone. It needs strong 3rd party relationships. PS4 needs to have its fair share of exclusive games from Day 1.
6. Playstation Plus. This should be a big part of the PS4 launch in some way. Think of something Sony.
7. Avatars. Nintendo and Microsoft let you create your own 3D avatar. Why don't you Sony? It seems like a lame feature to the core gamer but it is extremely important to appeal to the casuals.
8. Forget out motion controls. If you really want to appeal to the casuals, continue PS Move support for PS4 with maybe an updated PS Eye.
9. Get rid of the XMB. It is starting to show its age. This is an OS originally developed for the PSP, I think its about time to develop something specifically for PS4.
10. Continue 3D support for games and introduce Gaikai, but don't put too much emphasis on these things since most people wont' find it useful.
