samsung galaxy can be termed as an iPhone rip off ( i cant confirm..am not the expert).
But the bigger thing is all that is of past..even if samsung pays them the billion dollars. Those designs(covered in patents) are of the past.. Galaxy S3 - > great new design , Htc one x -> great new design , Nexus 4 - great new design , Nokia Lumia 920 - Great New Design..
compared to Apple iPhone - awesome yet STALE design .
Now in modern world.. if everyone is using the incremental design that apple invented 4-5 years back.. apple the so called innovators are doomed.
Their so called awesome control on both hardware and software is also their biggest weakness and it is starting to show..
They are being pushed from all sides...
if user wants cheap and yet premium they can go for nexus devices.
if user wants premium WP8 and iOS are available.
So i believe soon android will be on top and race for the second will be between Apple and Microsoft.
