We'd be better off if Califonria left.  GDP of France but the balance sheet of Greece.

Should let Cali scede, go bankrupt then reabsorb it.

I am amazed that it isn't talked about more. CA has so much going for it in the way of natural advantage being on the coast. But we are in one of the worst postions economicaly and we keep voting in the same people with the same ideas. CA is an example of where the nation is headed if we dont start fixing ourselves. Too much regulation, too many taxes, too many handouts. Its amazes me the rest of the nation doesn't see this, and i am even more amazed that we CA keep voting in the same people. How many cities have gone bankrupt now in CA? How many more will.

Not just natural advantage but outright built in previous advantage.  Hollywood and Silicon Valley will be hard to mvoe.

It's crazy the state is in such dire straights.

It should be interesting to see what a democratic supermajority does.

Living in CA i am really scared what may happen now. We have already been loosing jobs to other states, and I am sure this will add to regulation and taxes. I would move but all of my family is here, and it is a beautiful state with the coast/mountains/desert.
