49. Super Mario 3D Land, 3DS (2011) Nintendo (New)
This game created something interesting in terms of being able to effectively hybridize 3D Mario and 2D Mario, a commendable feat, by bringing together the charm of the series that was my first-owned game ever (3D Mario) with the more intensive jump-n-run style of the 2D games. The normal worlds were a bit on the easy side, but the star worlds could get viciously challenging. They brought in the Boomerang suit, brought back the Raccoon and even the Tanuki with its ability to transform into a jizo statue. They also had a quite satisfying final Bowser fight.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
