First off.  Dante's Inferno is amazing.  God of War is garbage in comparison. Annnnnd thats when I stopped reading.

I know it's opinion and all, but the God of War games are just bad.   Both gameplay and story.

Now, I've played Lament of Innocence, Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 3, and Ninja Gaiden before I played God of War, but anyways.  Picked up God of War after the release of the second one because of the massive praise.  "Amazing gameplay, storyline, etc."  The theme of the game was good, but where is this absolutely amazing storyline.  Even once you reached the end of the game there is no storyline there.  Everyone feels bad because Kratos killed his family?  It was his own lust for power.

The gameplay was ridiculously repetitive.  His entire neutral square combo list visually looks the exact same with just one more swing.  But what does it matter when you have L1+X.  The most overpowered damaging attack in the game.  On the original God of War you were going to use L1+X,, R1+S, Sx2 then T, or Tx3.  The rest all looked the same and were just too useless to even bother.  Aside from L1+X which was removed, the exact same attacks applied for God of War 2 and 3.  Aside from a couple extra weapopns, most weaker, I get to play using the same repetitive combos that I did on the original game.  Just what I want in a brand new action/adventure with a garbage storyline.  Yes!

X Men Origins Wolverine is even better than God of Bore 1, 2, and 3, and outside of a few rage meter special attacks, you start the game with every single attack and have more combo variety than the God of Bore games will ever have.  But I mentioned Dante's Inferno, and graphically, yeah, that stands no chance.  The storyline walks all over the boring God of War storylines, and by no means is it a masterpiece, but it's thoroughly entertaining.  The gameplay  is where it's at, and even with without any upgrades, similar to Logan mentioned above, Dante has more of a combo variety than Kratos.  But you get upgrades on Dante's Inferno, and man are there some upgrades.  Such a massive diverse list of attacks, both the scythe and the cross, it makes you wonder if Kratos can compete.  The answer is no.

If you're a fan of God of War, there are three reasons you don't like Dante's Inferno better.  You haven't played it, it's by EA, it's not God of War.  Lords of Shadow and many other unlisted g ames also stomp God of War into the ground.  I guess people just like really repetitive games.  I mean FPS' sell like crazy.

X Men Origins Wolverine is even better than God of Bore 1, 2, and 3 I like that one lol unfortunately I can't take you seriously good joke though! :D

If you have the Psn pm and ill give u my account and you will see that I've played enough games of similar standards to stand by my words.

GOW 1 Metacritic: 94        X Men Origins Wolverine Metacritic : 73

GOW 2 Metacritic: 93        Dantes Inferno Metacritic: 75

GOW 3 Metacritic: 92        lament of innocence metacritic: 79

I see a common trend God of war games loved by many hated by few annnnd then theres the others just plain average games.
