There are trophies, just not mandated. It is the developers choice.
There is an ethernett adapter.
In anycase, Nintendo has always had a focus on single player and in the living room playinng together. I don't mind that as I get to enjoy solid single player games.
If I really care about the small trival things for onlien games, I will jsut get them on PS3/360 or PC.
