What I find the most disingenuous are the fans of a company who will label another companies products “kiddie” or “immature” but will then lavish praise on games created in the same style by their favoured company. If the mascot in a game is a stuffed toy, part of the audience that it will appeal to are those who enjoy playing with stuffed toys, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with video game companies creating products that will appeal to wide and varied demographics.
