Unless your monitor is glued or screwed to the table you won't be able to do that. You will damage it, but you won't go through it.
OT: And who cares? Given the massive support that DX 10.1 had (almost non existant), that won't be a problem for anyone.
Besides, the trick to make users upgrade because of a new DX will no longer work as games are still build with consoles in mind and therefore most games are still DX 9. Only a few also have a DX 10/11 option and I don't even know if those games make full use of those capabilities.
