I don't doubt that IBM was working on a 32nm die for the Cell processor.  I don't even doubt that they were working on a higher performance version of the Cell for future use, but I highly doubt either IBM or Sony would go from a stable processor in the current Cell processor to an unknown in in a Cell that utilizes performance gains and would in turn mess up the operation and function of every old game.

I didn't say Sony will use Cell again... I just corrected you because the Cell never was cancelled... only the version with 32 SPEs was cancel and IBM have a way better version of Cell than used in PS3.

PS3 will use the same Cell just with die-shrink... the Super Slim seens to use a 32nm version.

PS4 will use AMD processor and GPU... it's a good decision because AMD is cheap but in technical terms Intel and nVidia are more advanced then AMD today.
