I'm sorry if I get offended by the fact that the state has now given me "permission" to smoke some marijuana... as long as I buy it from regulated firms, give the state its cut, do it in specific places, and don't possess over a certain amount.

Your arguement is so idealistic. The arguement basically says it should be all or nothing.
By the way, the law does say you can grow six of your own plants in Colorado. In Washington, which will take a year to set up a retail market, unlike Colorado that already has them in place, it does not say you can grow your own.
