Saw a recent article that Bungie was hiring devs with PS3 experience. Looks like they decided to make a PS3 version after all...

If anything can end up being the "Halo-killer", it would be Bungies new IP. If it's on Sony's console too, even better.

i really dont understand why would they make it xbox exclusive, literally half the market is on PS3 and they could double their sales with just releasing the game on PS3. they would be complete morons if they didnt make the game on ps3

They aren't. Nobody is saying it will be. Its timed exclusive, which is arguably just as good an effect. Think of the sales disparity between Oblivion, Orange Box, Bioshock 1, and Mass Effect 2.

The gamers will associate the IP with Xbox, even if it comes to PS3 later. Pure genius.

Can't wait to see what the final product looks like.

But I'm confused. Why is it so important that people associate the game with Xbox? And why is it genius?

What the post above me said. Getting the sales scraps when hype dies down and the holidays are over means the majority of gamers will play this game on Xbox, including the sequels.

For a multiplat, MS just ensured 70% (approx) of its sales are gonna be on their consoles.

But I think what bananaking was saying (and please correct me if I'm wrong, bk) is that Bungie would be better off it they launched the game at the same time on both systems.

And I think you're saying the timed exclusive would be much better for Microsoft. So my question is: why is it so important that Microsoft gets the lion's share of sales?

To quote Charlie Sheen: WINNING!

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
