IMHO, it isn't COD fans because they tend to keep to their own tastes, and since most of them are "bros", they tend to stay away from forums and metacritic. Go to store, buy game, and play said game. Thats it.
I would accuse (surprise surprise coming from me) PS3 fans. They are probably sick of seeing the Halo media blitz and lash out the only way they can.
To a lesser degree, perhaps its because Halos sales and 360 sales spike would dwarf the sales of their 2012 exclusives and 360 would start to increase the lifetime sales gap with PS3. This offcourse throws a wrench in their "take 2nd place" plans.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
