that's exactly why i want marijuana legalized. i'm not too keen on smoking it myself (anymore) but i am keen on defunding the gangs that are currently profiting on it. tax it, get real job creation that can be regulated (and removes the gun violence around current distribution), defund the black market/terrorist orginizations that are profiting from current sales, be able to remove some of the resources dedicated to the war on drugs.
i dunno, i'm no economist but from my perspective there are a lot of up sides to legalizing marijuana and it is really not that hard of a drug. i didn't think getting high was much different from getting drunk really.
