I'd probably say aqua-man. I know nothing of the character, but he can talk to fish underwater. lol How would you make an aqua-man movie? Has the character, even been in any kind of cartoon? I never heard of a big aqua-man fan. I don't think, the character is even all that popular. lol

Aquaman is a very misunderstood character, and the only memory that people has about him is the one given by the super friends cartoon (a very bad one). For starters he is an outcast, raised in the surface because he was born with blond hair (a curse by Atlatean mythology), to found later that he was the heir to the throne of all the ocean, betrayed by his brother, married to someone sent to kill him, lost his arm and his baby son.

His powers are not great, but powerful enough. He has the ability to breathe underwater. He possesses superhuman durability high enough to remain unaffected by the immense pressure and the cold temperature of the ocean depths, this also makes him tough enough to be invulnerable to machine gun fire. He also possesses superhuman strength. He can swim at very high speeds, capable of reaching speeds of 10,000 feet per second. He can see in near total darkness and has enhanced hearing granting limited sonar. As per the 2011 DC continuity reboot, Aquaman's telepathy has been greatly downplayed: acknowledging that most marine life doesn't possess enough intelligence to carry a meaningful telepathic communication, Aquaman is now stated to simply add compulsions and needs in the mindset of aquatic life, compelling them to do his bidding by a subtle altering of their midbrain.

The most interesting stories are the ones that relate his activities as a hero in the surface and as emperor of the seas, he has loyalties and responsabilities that clash and he has to make hard decisions. Also he has a touch of environmental hero that puts him at odds with the legal corporations of the surface that also makes a good cause of conflict with other heroes that respect only the rules of the land.

He is not the best superhero, but he is not the worst, his latest comics are very good and are selling pretty good.
