A 5 is justified, because it looks notably worse than that other fun racer (calling the genre "kart racer" is heavily Nintendo biased).

Perhaps. Except IGN thought Modnations was great and a 9/10 game, yet this is basically Modnation 2.0 and they gave it a 5/10. Critic inconsistency is a bit of a worry as of late.
