I'm really in two minds about online passes. It's a weird one. For many, many years, I didn't see the problem with buying games second hand. It never occurred to me that the money didn't go to the creators (though, it's blindingly obvious now).

As such, as I slowly started to learn, I've slowly begun buying more and more games new, because I genuinely want to support devs who put so much effort into their games.

Online passes are obviously, to some degree, an attempt to counter the used game market. And I actually don't have a problem with it if it's just to access multi-player online content. Any further than that, though, and I have problem with it. If we started getting gated single player games or something, and online passes were the floodgates that opened it, then I'd be pretty frustrated.
