It's not that Sony is poor, it's tha the Yen is a whole lot stronger than when the PS3 launched. That will affect how powerful of a console they can develop.
I'm not saying it won't be powerful, but it won't be the jump over the Wii U that the PS3 was over the Wii. The Yen going from 110 :1 USD to 77:1 USD can't be ignored.
