Metacritic's only flaw (which is quite a gaping flaw) is the fact it hand picks its reviews. It reminds me of when Bioware bragged about receiving 75 perfect scores for ME3 yet Metacritic only has about 20 or so.
I'm all for critic aggregates, but you should only be selective in picking the critics to be included in the aggregate if it is well established that they're known for being controversial for the sake of traffic and other underhanded means.
