lol, I don't trust Gamespot to do this at all. I also notice you include Destructoid in your list... the website of Jim Sterling? Now, I like Jim. I like the way he reviews things. It fits his style. But I also believe he goes out of his way to review games he's pretty sure he won't like just so that he can completely trash them.

Should I swap Destructoid for Gameinformer?

Hahaha. I don't care. I think this whole thing is kinda silly. It literally does not matter at all whether Halo's metascore is 87 or 90. Everyone is being ridiculous about one dumb review. Aw man, Halo's metascore dropped by 3 points! Clearly this is an indication that metacritic is completely broken and needs to be entirely overhauled, because... because metacritic is important, or something!
